Registration for the fourth round of the INOTEX Pitch startup competitions has begun

February 2021 to May 2021 in 6 provinces

The fourth round of INOTEX Pitch startup competitions, which is one of the lateral sections of the International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) will be held from February 11^th 2021 to May 2021 in 6 provinces, including Kerman, Tehran, Qazvin, Bushehr, Tabriz and Hamedan.

According to the Public Relations Department of Pardis Technology Park, Mr. Sajjad Abbasi Fashami, the secretary of the 10^th International Exhibition of Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) announced: INOTEX Pitch is one of the competitive sections of the INOTEX event, in which the startups from different provinces of Iran compete with each other; After that, the provincial winners will undergo an acceleration course and benefit from mentoring and technical services of the INOTEX event, and will participate in the final competitions. The final competitions of the INOTEX Pitch will be held simultaneously with the INOTEX Exhibition and in the presence of the VC companies and the investors from Iran and Turkey.

He went on to explain the difference between the upcoming INOTEX Pitch with the previous ones: This time, many Iranian startups have the capacity to export their products to neighboring countries. Due to this, and after negotiations with Turkey, it was decided that a number of Turkish investors will also attend this year’s final event. The top teams which make it to the final event, will also have the opportunity to have B2B meetings with Turkish investors. In this way, the participating teams can take steps to internationalize their business.

Mr. Abbasi mentioned another feature of the fourth round of the INOTEX Pitch competitions: During a negotiation with the secretariat of the Technology Investment Meeting (TIM), we decided to hold Tehran INOTEX Pitch simultaneously with the third TIM meeting and in the presence of the investors from D8 countries, so that the participating teams can introduce themselves internationally.

Then, Iman Mohamad Ali, the executor of the event spoke about the costs of participating in these competitions: Participating in the fourth round of the INOTEX Pitch competitions is completely free and the interested teams can register to take part in these competitions on the event website.

He added: The teams which register on the website, will first be evaluated online and then, ten teams from each province will be selected to participate in the INOTEX Pitch preliminary competitions.

Explaining the process of the INOTEX Pitch, he said: Between the preliminary competitions and the final one, there is approximately a month interval, during which, the event secretariat will provide services to the selected teams to promote their activities by introducing an expert mentor to them.

Mohammad Ali continued: last year, an event called INOTEX Battle was added to the INOTEX Pitch competitions, in which selected teams debated with each other and challenged each other, in terms of marketing and sales.

In this regard, due to the very good reception of the audience, in the new round of the INOTEX Pitch competitions, we will also see a startup battle.
