The 2024 INOTEX Provincial Festival in Sistan and Baluchestan, held in Zahedan, showcased the innovative spirit of young people in the province.

Research Pitch

The Research Pitch competition saw 38 research projects from universities in Sistan and Baluchestan compete for the top prize on Wednesday, January 10. The winning projects were:

• Mining and Mineral Industries: The use of ionic liquids in the heap leaching process (Alireza Rezvani)
• Health and Medical Equipment: The production of a herbal medicine from black myrobalan after completing additional research (Afra Arbab Afzali)
• Water, Energy, and Environment: The construction of a membrane and the evaluation of its properties on the amount of water vapor flow (Hamid Moqaddam Dimeh)
• Food and Agriculture: A solar greenhouse including arch, truss, and window (Mohammad Forouzandeh)

Of particular note was the success of Afra Arbab Afzali, a ninth-grade student, in the health and medical equipment category.

INOTEX Pitch

In the INOTEX Pitch competition, 82 startup proposals were reviewed by judges, and 15 teams, including two student teams, advanced to the live presentation round. On Thursday, January 11, following the teams' presentations and final evaluation by judges, the teams "E-Teb," designing a comprehensive platform for medical students' books and accessories, and "Starbot," providing financial services, pricing, and inventory to online stores, were selected as the first and second-place teams, respectively.
 

The individuals and teams selected in these two events earned the right to participate in the finals of these competitions, which will be held in the Pardis Innovation District from May 7-10, 2024. It is worth mentioning that Yazd has been selected as the next destination for the INOTEX Provincial Festival on January 31 and February 1, 2024.

Research Pitch and INOTEX Pitch competitions are being held as part of the 2024 INOTEX Provincial Festival, organized by the INOTEX Secretariat in the provinces of Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchestan, Yazd, Tehran, Bushehr, and the northwestern provinces of Iran, hosted by Urmia.
