Following successful Research Pitch and INOTEX Pitch events in the provinces of Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Yazd, the provincial INOTEX 2024 festival was held in Tehran in collaboration with the Tarbiat Modares University Science and Technology Park.

Research Pitch

The Research Pitch event in Tehran saw the registration of 50 research projects, of which 19 were selected for the in-person presentation stage. In the opening ceremony, Dr. Sajjad Abbasi Fashami, Head of the Innovation Cluster Promotion and Development Department of Pardis Technology Park and Executive Secretary of INOTEX, welcomed the audience and provided information about Pardis Technology Park and INOTEX. He was followed by Dr. Ebrahimi, Vice President of Tarbiat Modares University Science and Technology Park, who spoke about the establishment of the park and the synergy between the park and companies.

In the in-person stage of the event, which was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2024, five research projects were selected in the following areas:

• Mining and Mineral Industries: Project for the extraction of rhodium from gold electroplating wastewater and its regeneration (Mr. Alireza Abedi)
• Water, Energy and Environment: Project on simulation and laboratory investigation of the thermal performance of a flameless furnace (Ms. Fatemeh Eskandari)
• Health and Medical Equipment: Project on identifying a biomarker for learning disorder from brain signals using machine learning: Development of a diagnostic aid software
• Food and Agriculture Industries: Project on enzymes and industry (Ms. Fatemeh Noori Kouhani)
• Information Technology, Communication and Artificial Intelligence: Design of building structures with artificial intelligence (Mr. Mohammad Sadegh Turkman)

INOTEX Pitch

The INOTEX Pitch event in Tehran saw the registration of 94 startup teams, of which 16 were selected for the in-person presentation stage. In the opening ceremony, Dr. Sajjad Abbasi Fashmi, Head of the Innovation Cluster Promotion and Development Department of Pardis Technology Park and Executive Secretary of INOTEX, welcomed the audience and provided information about Pardis Technology Park and INOTEX. He was followed by Dr. Hamed Ebrahimi, Vice President for Innovation at Tarbiat Modares University Science and Technology Park, who spoke about the park's support for startups.

In this section, which was held on Thursday, February 16, 2024, two projects were selected:

• First Team: Amir Farm
• Second Team: Babumia

The selected researchers and teams in these two events will qualify for the final round of the competition, which will be held from May 7 to 10, 2024 in the Pardis Innovation Zone. It is worth noting that Bushehr province will be the next destination for the provincial INOTEX festival on February 23 and 24.

The Research Pitch and INOTEX Pitch competitions are held as part of the INOTEX 2024 provincial festival by the INOTEX Secretariat in the provinces of Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchestan, Yazd, Tehran, Bushehr, and the northwestern provinces of the country hosted by Urmia.
