2024/05/10

Alireza Bani Hashemi, President of the Industrialists’ House, expressed gratitude to the organizers of the event and spoke about the immense potential of the knowledge-based sector in the country.

According to the INOTEX 2024 newsroom, Alireza Bani Hashemi, in an interview with the INOTEX 2024 media hub reporter, stated: “We believe that one of the prerequisites for a production leap is a fundamental and engineering link between the production economy and the knowledge-based sector. Organizations like the Industrialists’ House have the mission to foster this connection towards a knowledge-based economy.”

The President of the Industrialists’ House continued, discussing the supportive capacities of this institution: “The Industrialists’ House, active in specialized and public domains, paves the way for public participation in production partnerships, which should be implemented through public collaboration channels.”

He emphasized the importance of supporting the knowledge-based sector, noting its vast potential that needs to be elucidated for both the industrial sector and the general public to recognize these scientific potentials. “Today, our knowledge-based sector has achieved technological products that have astonished the world, drawing attention to the capabilities of our Iranian youth,” he said.

Bani Hashemi pointed out various aspects of the mission of knowledge-based organizations: “The third point is the support that the Industrialists’ House provides to knowledge-based companies, which includes several parts: The first part is aiding the formation of a knowledge-based commission under the Industrialists’ House, which consists of 16 commissions, one dedicated to the knowledge-based economy, supporting the youth in this field.”

“The greatest support is market development for business prosperity; however, we believe that knowledge-based sector activists should not get entangled in the production process. Their entire focus should be on newer and better products,” Bani Hashemi continued.

He elaborated on connecting friends to domestic and international markets that have an industry-appropriate value chain. “We are proud to support them in 17,000 economic enterprises, and one of the needs we see is the correct connection in the knowledge system of these markets. We have established offices in 12 countries to serve the market for knowledge-based products. We also assist markets, and upon approaching us, we managed to secure an initial order of 15 containers in coordination with the Oman office.”

Bani Hashemi further described the foreign currency earning process of the knowledge-based sector: “All these services are covered by the private sector and the Industrialists’ House together, so we strive to develop a sustainable market abroad to bring foreign currency into our country and extend these services to all our knowledge-based friends with current and flowing products.”

The President of the Industrialists’ House continued on the support provided by this sector in policymaking: “The next point is the assistance that comes from laws like the Production Leap Law, which is good and requires help and supervision for better implementation in the knowledge-based industry.”

He expressed frustration with the frictions and obstacles in the path of support for knowledge-based organizations, saying: “It is unacceptable that in all supportive spaces, there is an environment where our knowledge-based organizations, especially with governmental entities, which are our target, may remain behind closed doors for months due to actions and frictions for product offering and acceptance.”

He stressed: “Certainly, the next support from the Industrialists’ House is to pave this path for entry into domestic markets, especially governmental sectors that purchase these products with foreign currency but lack the necessary support. We are definitely pursuing this in the Industrialists’ House.”

He detailed the support in the agricultural sector: “Another missing link that the majority of the knowledge-based sector pointed out during our recent visits is the complementary industries for the country’s industry, which is a serious gap for the country and essential for saving the country from raw material sales, is the agricultural sector. We see that products ready for conversion industries have turned waste into gold, which is exported and can reduce or eliminate the country’s dependency on animal institutions. The missing links refer to attracting investment and increasing public sector participation in the government.”

He concluded by inviting the knowledge-based sector across the country to step into the field of products and services, stating: “We declare our full support in any situation, and membership in this sector is free, and we welcome you to join. We will certainly facilitate services that exist for the development of businesses and strive to bring more foreign currency into the country.”
