Russian President’s Special Adviser: INOTEX Is More Than a Platform—It Addresses Global and Regional Challenges
The Special Adviser to the President of Russia for Innovation and Technology said that INOTEX is not only a bridge between industrialists and innovators from different countries, but also a forum for addressing regional and global issues and challenges.
According to the INOTEX 2025 Media Office, during the closing ceremony of the 14th INOTEX exhibition, Andrei Fursenko, Special Adviser to the Russian President for Innovation and Technology, noted that the event’s infrastructure has significantly improved compared to his previous visit two years ago.
“This exhibition is not merely a platform connecting industrial players and innovators from different countries; it is also an event where regional and global challenges are actively discussed,” he said.
Fursenko emphasized that several constructive factors are essential for building future technology infrastructures. “We are striving to develop technologies capable of addressing financial issues, food challenges, food security, and environmental problems. Governments around the world are currently working to resolve these issues,” he added.
He stressed that another key factor is adopting a long-term, beyond-the-horizon perspective, which he described as psychologically important and heavily dependent on investment in human capital. “At present, human resources are insufficient, which makes prioritization critically important,” he said.
Fursenko also highlighted the importance of preserving natural resources, describing them as the foundation of the future world. “From a technological standpoint, natural resources are consumable and finite. Renewable resources are limited, and we have no right to waste divine blessings. Protecting these resources is a human responsibility,” he stated.
He warned that in technological development, technologies designed solely around human desires can pose threats to both humanity and the environment.
According to Fursenko, each country designs its technology development plans based on domestic interests, which unfortunately often leads to insufficient attention to environmental protection. “The impact of future technologies is a shared concern that must be addressed collectively,” he said.
He further noted the need to develop multiple technological scenarios for risk prevention, emphasizing that forecasts and solutions must remain flexible and adaptable to different conditions.
Addressing the global rise of artificial intelligence, Fursenko said that while AI has become a dominant global trend and offers practical solutions, it also carries significant risks. “Not all AI-driven solutions are suitable for nature or humanity. Humans are a fundamental element of nature, and technological design must be human-centered,” he said.
He concluded by noting that INOTEX appears to be moving in this responsible and human-focused direction.
